Membership
Who can become a member?
Membership within the Society is granted to individuals who demonstrate a commitment to the organization's objectives and possess relevant qualifications. The following categories are eligible for membership:
Physician Membership:
This category is open to physicians of all medical specialties who maintain permanent residency and/or professional practice within Armenia or abroad.
Applicants must demonstrate active engagement with, and interest in, the Society's stated purposes.
Allied Professional Membership:
Individuals holding higher or postgraduate degrees in non-medical fields are eligible, provided their scholarly interests align with the Society's focus on obesity, metabolic diseases, and dietetics.
Student and Resident Membership:
Students and clinical residents are welcome to participate in Society events and activities, fostering professional development and engagement within the field.
The organization offers two distinct membership tiers: Full and Observer.
Full Membership: This tier is open to professionals in specific fields.
Medical professionals, including doctors, psychologists, and nutritionists, are eligible for Full Membership with a designated membership fee of 10,000 AMD.
Related allied health and educational professionals, such as nurses, specialists in the natural sciences, and teachers, may also attain Full Membership, subject to a reduced membership fee of 5,000 AMD.
Clinical residents may also attain Full Membership, subject to a reduced membership fee of 5,000 AMD.
Observer Membership: This tier is designed for students, including both university and college .
Observer members are expected to engage actively in volunteer activities facilitated by the organization.
Observer members are not required to pay membership fees.
This tiered structure facilitates the inclusion of both experienced professionals and developing students, fostering a collaborative environment for knowledge exchange and community service.
