We're proud to share that Dr. Anahit Gevorgyan, member of the Armenian Association of Obesity Prevention, represented Armenia at the 33rd European Congress on Obesity (ECO2026) on May 12-15, 2026.

Dr. Gevorgyan, Assistant at the Department of Hygiene and Ecology and practicing Endocrinologist-Nutritionist, joined leading researchers, clinicians, and public health professionals from across Europe and beyond at this prestigious EASO event.

Why ECO2026 Matters:

The European Congress on Obesity is the continent's largest scientific gathering dedicated to obesity research, prevention, and treatment. This year's program covered:

🔬 Advances in basic obesity science and metabolism

🏥 Clinical interventions and treatment innovations

👨‍👩‍👧 Childhood and adolescent obesity management

📊 Behavioral science and public health strategies

The Regional Impact:

Dr. Gevorgyan's participation reflects our commitment to ensuring Armenian healthcare professionals remain at the forefront of international metabolic medicine. Knowledge and connections gained at conferences like ECO2026 directly translate to improved patient care in Armenia.

As a member organization of the European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO) since 2024, AOP is building bridges between Armenian specialists and the global obesity research community.

This is how we elevate standards: through continuous learning, international collaboration, and bringing global best practices to our region.

Congratulations, Dr. Gevorgyan, on representing Armenian medicine on this important international platform.
