A Legal Disclaimer
“Armenian Association of Obesity Prevention” (now referred as Organization) is an NGO having the status of a non-profit organisation.
The organisation's activities are guided by the principles of legality, non-discrimination, good faith, voluntary membership, common interests of members, self-governance, and accountability.
The organisation operates throughout the Republic of Armenia and in foreign countries in accordance with their respective laws.

The organisation has a symbol, which consists of three letters in English: A, O, P, where the letter O looks like an apple covered with a centimetre, and underneath it is written Armenian Association of Obesity Prevention.
In the event of a conflict between the organization's charter and the legal acts of the governing bodies, the charter shall prevail.
The organization’s charter, as well as any amendments or supplements to it or the charter in a new edition, shall enter into force upon state registration. Amendments and supplements to the organization’s charter that have been state registered are an integral part of the charter.
The organization is established and operates without a time limit.
RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE ORGANIZATION
The organisation, in accordance with the objectives of its charter, has the right:

to acquire and exercise property and personal non-property rights on its own behalf, to bear obligations, to appear in court as a plaintiff or defendant,
-
to open bank accounts in banks of the Republic of Armenia and foreign countries in the currency of the Republic of Armenia and (or) in foreign currency.

to establish another organization or to be a participant in it
-
to establish separate subdivisions or institutions (including in other countries),
-
to disseminate information about its activities.

to organize and hold peaceful, unarmed assemblies.
-
to represent and protect the rights and legitimate interests of its members and volunteers in other organizations, in court, in state and local self-government bodies in cases and in the manner prescribed by law.

to cooperate with other organizations, including international or foreign organizations, as well as to establish an organizations for the purpose of carrying out coordinated activities, representing and protecting common interests or to join an organization created by them, while maintaining its independence and the status of a legal entity,
-
to fully implement or participate in social, health, educational, upbringing, cultural, sports programs and other events of state bodies and local self-government bodies on its own initiative or by other means of contractual or mutual agreement
-
to organize educational and informational events, involving various social and professional groups.

to join international and domestic non-profit organizations and have other international connections
-
to perform any other action not prohibited by law.
The organisation is obliged:
-
to keep records of its members and volunteers,
-
to undergo a mandatory audit, if provided for by law
-
to notify the Agency of the address in case of an official website,
-
to provide the authorized body with copies of the decisions of its management bodies or other documents on its activities within a reasonable period of time upon a reasoned request,
-
to provide the organization member with the opportunity to familiarize himself with the organization’s charter, other constituent documents, and resolutions of the meeting,
-
or to provide the applicant with them in paper or electronic form within five working days after the date of receipt of the request. A fee may be charged for providing the information and documents specified in this paragraph, which may not exceed the costs incurred for providing them,
-
to apply to the Agency in accordance with the procedure prescribed by law in cases of amendments to the organisation’s charter, as well as reorganisation or liquidation.

submit annual reports on its activities and use of property for approval by the executive body of the Organization, ensuring the publicity of these reports.
-
perform other duties prescribed by law.
SUBJECT AND GOALS OF THE ORGANIZATION'S ACTIVITIES
The subject and goals of the Organisation's activities are:
-
instilling a healthy lifestyle and health preservation,
-
promoting, maintaining and improving physical, reproductive and mental health, preventing weight-related problems
-
organisation of educational events aimed at improving the mental and physical health of children and adults, shaping eating behaviour, and preventing obesity.
-
dissemination of measures and information on obesity prevention, implementation of events and programs aimed at raising awareness of vulnerable target groups,
-
organise training seminars, conferences, symposiums for senior and middle- level medical workers to inform them about global news on obesity treatment and prevention,
-
carry out other activities not prohibited by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, which stem from the above-mentioned goals.
To implement the goals and objectives, the Organisation may:

Cooperate with state and local self-government bodies, international and foreign similar organisations, organisations registered in the Republic of Armenia, and participate in the implementation of state, public and international programs.

organise and implement various programs and events, including sports and cultural events, hearings, campaigns, training sessions, and seminars aimed at strengthening physical and mental health.

Initiate, participate in and/or support the development and improvement of health legislation, cooperate with state and international structures for this purpose, and involve the capabilities of other interested public organisations and specialists.

Carry out entrepreneurial activities in accordance with the goals outlined in this Charter, including through the organisation of training, printing, dissemination of scientific analytical, cognitive materials, and other methods.

To dispose of its property and the results of its activities for the purpose of carrying out entrepreneurial activities, as well as to establish a commercial organisation or become a participant in it in accordance with the procedure
-
prescribed by law. The profit generated by the organisation's entrepreneurial activities shall be used solely for the implementation of the organisation's statutory goals.
